Corbett Park is a birdwatcher's dream come true. The park, with its rich bio geographic diversity, is home to more than 600 species of birds in Corbett Park - about half of the total species found in the entire Indian subcontinent.
There is an exceptional variety of bird life, both local and migrant species in Corbett National park. A rich mix of forest, rivers and mountain species are sighted here all year round, though winters are especially good to watch migratory birds.

Brown Dipper, Wallcreeper, several species of Forktails (the Spotted and Little Forktail being the most common), Plumbous and White-capped Water Redstarts and several species of Wagtails are the altitude migrants you can see. The rich river habitat attracts Pallas' and the Lesser Grey-headed fish eagle at dusk. The Brown Fish Owl is more heard than seen.

Walks in the forest would reveal the vocal White throated and White-crested laughing thrush and the beautiful but
aggressive Common Green Magpie. The Upper canopy should be scanned for the colourful Long-tailed Broadbill and Maroon Orioles, here one also comes across hunting parties of Blue winged minla, Black Throated Tit, Grey headed canary flycatcher, and Chestnut bellied nuthatch and scarlet minivets.
